And she sits quietly in the distance

As she paints the skies

A palette of reds and yellows

Against the blue ocean waters

Gently rippling below her

And she glows ever so brightly

Before tucking herself in

For the night

I wait upon the edge of time
Oceans carrying my thoughts
Beyond the places in my mind
Casting away memories,
Written once, in rhyme

I wait upon the winds that blow
Lofting away with the clouds
And catch the colors as they flow
Lazily, ever lingering
In the moonlit glow

I wait upon the lilac skies
Surrounding, floating freely
And I shall wait forever more
Like the waves upon the sea
Calm against the sandy shore
While time still passes by me

full-moon-451605_960_720I am drawn to you

As the sun is drawn to the west

Silent anticipation arising

In the brilliance of your glow

In the hours before I rest

With the waters, capsizing

I am caught in your undertow

Feelings no longer repressed

The seas ever rising

You capture me in your flow

And in the silent hours, obsessed

My heart surrenders, surprising

Conquering me at your behest

Warm water tides, turning

Waves crash ashore, churning

Sunlight streams down, burning

Sweet childhood memories, returning
