The skies speak in whispered tones

The ocean, like choral bells, creates

Melodic sounds, a haunting hush,

Lulling you, into peaceful slumber

As waters calm, and tides slow

You escape, into a heavenly bliss

Splashing against the shoreline

While the palm trees sway

Drown in Beauty ~ #poetry #freeverse

To dwell in the silence, down under

The calm waters, below the waves

Surrounded by coral reefs, colors

Of the sea, and the inhabitant fish

Basking in the flow of the rippling tides

Where they can quietly swim about

Oh, yes, freedom, freedom from

The reckless and uncaring, the

Human factor, dehumanized beings

When, alas, I realize, as I sum it all up

I would rather drown in beauty

Than live in the ugliness of mankind

He was like a wave

Gently washing over me

Caressing my body

In fluid movements

As the waters swelled

Ebbing and flowing

In rhythmic motion

Our bodies crashing ashore

As one with the tide
