You give me wings, so I can fly
On you, I always can rely, to
Hold me close, and never let go
Your love for me, is what I know
Within your arms, no other place

Basking, in the warmth of sun
Soaking it in, before day is done
Relaxing here, on this quiet tree
Where no one really notices me
I blend in well, with winter gray
And I can lounge the day away
Until it’s time, to go back home
Into this tree, that’s mine, alone
Author’s note: This is not my buddy, Gandolph. He’s just another gray squirrel who hangs out in our tree 🙂

We are small pieces
When we stand next to giants
Nurtured by God’s hands
That is my daughter, Alyssa, standing between the trees. She is 5’5″. I don’t know how tall the trees are but they seem to go on forever!! 🙂
