Perhaps the man in the moon
Is not a man at all
Perhaps he’s just a little boy
One who’s rather small
He likes to hang around by day
In the light, he can’t be seen
Swinging merrily, above the clouds
His expression, quite serene
But, the only way to truly know
Is to awaken from your dream
Sadly, that would chase him away
And that’s really too extreme
So, let your imagination take you
Let the sandman lead you on
Before the light of day appears
And the illusion, all at once, is gone
