I imagine my life would be quite different

Had I not been brought up to know this;

There is no difference between

You and me, we were made from one God

To love each other, set aside differences

To tolerate opinions, and gracefully bow out

Of a conversation that does nothing

But promote hate, to joyfully accept

That we can, indeed, get along, no matter

The conflicts we face, we shall face them

Together, as only we can, with the human spirit

Respect for one another, honesty and friendship

So we may never again fear

Walking out our own front door
