I left a path behind me
To follow this one instead
No longer will I go backward
I’m forging my way, straight ahead
A journey I’ve long since forgotten
It’s time to find me once again
Traveling on, there’s no looking back
I already know where I’ve been

He whispers quietly in my ear
Of promises, and draws me near
With arms that hold in sweet embrace
And a tender look upon his face
He tells me how the days shall be
How he will spend this time with me
My dearest lover, my friend, my life

Sitting under that big old tree
Reminiscing about younger days
Thinking back on how we were
How the time has slipped away
Remembering the past
How we held it oh so close
Laughter, love and memories
Was what we cherished most
Sunlight shines upon us now
With a warm and tender glow
Calling us to journey forth
We have so far to go
Yes! Change of plan, change of pace
We’ll relish the time ahead
We shall never forget who we were
But remember who we are, instead

Moonlight Shines beyond us
A glowing Orb of White

A Promise of the Future, Bright
We Journey forth, just you and I
Our purposeful Endeavor
As Night falls Round
Without a Sound

Drawing you into the abyss
A reminder of days gone by
Of mistakes and heartache
Of joy and happiness
Do you dare look back
Allowing it access
To the ghosts
You have forgotten
And remembered
No, no regrets
Only memories
Deeply seated within
Making you wiser
Bolder, braver
Defining the future
