I don’t understand, when you argue and say
A memorial for the fallen, should not be displayed
A field of white crosses, eternal rest for the brave
A symbol of thanks, our flag on their grave
For ones who have fought, for your freedoms, your rights
Protecting your country, unafraid of the fight
Valor and courage stood tall, hand in hand
Remember, they gave you their all, they were proud Americans!
Always give thanks to the brave men and women who have given their lives so you can remain free. ~Memorial Day 2016~

Letting the golden sunlight
Pour down upon my face
Resting quietly upon this tree
I find my peaceful place
Where Stillness will Enlighten me
And Serenity shall set me Free
To let me be who I should Be
And find my Heart’s Tranquility
Looking up, I close my eyes
Upon this grassy knoll
Soaking in the gentle warmth
I find my peaceful soul

I am soaring like an eagle
My wings span the earth
With graceful symmetry
Over mountains and hilltops
Effortlessly gliding on the wind
Above the waters gathering below
Into the sun lit sky, Ablaze
With God’s pure light gleaming
My flight to freedom’s glory

Like gently fallen snow,
Blown by winter’s sigh.
Swirling freely,
Taking flight, then
Softly falling,
Slowly drifting by.
