It’s way past my curfew
There goes the whole night
I’ll be up past the moon
See the sun glisten bright

The caffeine’s kicking in
Too much coffee ingested
Can’t waste any of it
When there’s creamer invested

I won’t dump a whole pot
Down the drain, just because
My body needs sleep
But my mind doesn’t pause

I have to keep writing
Get the words out of my head
There’s no time, like the present
I can sleep, when I’m dead

So I’ll make me another
Might as well stay awake
Make it into Guinness’ book
For the longest coffee break

Just a note

Dear Friends,

In the coming weeks, I will be posting much less than what you might be used to.  I am dealing with some health issues, and as you can imagine, my thoughts are scattered all over the place.  My writing has taken a hit because of it, and I need to step back and re-evaluate.

I will still be doing Morgan’s #DailyHaikuChallenge.  After 219 days I’m sure as heck not stopping now!  🙂 And my Wordless Wednesdays, with perhaps less photos. But my actual writing will be sporadic, at best.

Please feel free to stop by and read past posts, leave me a comment, even if it’s just to say hi.  I may not answer you right away (as some have already seen) but know that I am reading and will get to you ASAP.

This is life….and we battle on, and we sure as hell don’t give in.  I know I don’t….

Good morning, friends!

break RDI hope you all had a lovely Christmas day, surrounded by the people you hold most dear to your heart.  I’ll be taking a brief hiatus to collect my thoughts and get ready for the new year ahead.  My midnight musings will continue but poetry will have to hold its verse.

I will miss all of you, but know that I will catch up with your posts when I return on January 2, 2016.  That seems so strange to say, as I call this place my second home.  I find warmth and comfort among all of you, and yet I’m bidding adieu, but only for a short period.

Many blessings in the coming new year.  May you find the peace, hope, happiness and love in everything you do!!

See you next year!
