I’m so glad I decided to check into my blog today or I would have missed this! Life definitely gets in the way these days, but this, this is a bright spot for me!
I can’t believe it! Seven years have flown by and my little blog has an anniversary today. It seems like only yesterday when I posted my first article, back when I wasn’t posting my poetry (That’s officially in January).
Of course, I wouldn’t be here without the support and friendship from so many in the WordPress community (I don’t want to name for chance I may miss someone!), family and friends. I never dreamed I would make it this far, and yet, numerous books later, and two more awaiting editing, I am still here.
And so, off to year eight, and Lord only knows what it will bring! Many thanks to all of you, for allowing me to share my thoughts (sometimes crazy ones) and cheering me on. Because of you, I am able to continue my dream. See ya round the blogosphere! ❤

Good afternoon, friends. My goodness, it’s been a long time since I’ve had you over for tea. Thanks for being patient, while I got my act together. It’s been a long journey, and I won’t bore you with the details, but I’m hoping to be back at it now. It’s raining, the perfect weather for a nice hot cup of tea. Won’t you sit awhile, sip and chat, with me?
(This series will return to its normal 8AM Sunday time slot next week)
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: my blog turned SIX yesterday. I completely forgot about it, until WordPress reminded me. I can’t believe it’s been six years already. I love this community, and hope to continue on for many years to come!! Thank you all for making this possible in my little corner of the blogisphere. ❤
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: we got to go play with Stella and Layla, the two chihuahua’s Lys was sitting for. You might remember Stella from awhile back. She’s hubby’s favorite little pup. Look to the left, and you can see Layla’s ear. She was sitting on Alyssa! lol
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: how sad I am that my beloved Yankees didn’t make the World Series. So, baseball season is over for me, but I will be quietly rooting for the Washington Nationals to win it all!
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: how good it feels to be writing again. I am taking it slowly, and you may find I take a few days to answer your comments. I’m sorry, but there are days I am not on my computer or WordPress, at all. I’ll catch up. I promise!
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: I went to church today. This is the first time since the middle of July. I was greeted by so many hugs. It was so nice to see everyone, again!! And I finally felt myself relax. I know it’s because I was in the house of our Lord, and He had me no matter what. It’s truly the way I got through this illness, I prayed, every chance I had. He listened. God is so good.
If we were sipping tea and talking I would tell you: the autumn colors are really starting to pop around my neighborhood. I love the golden yellows, russets and oranges, green and browns, of the leaves. This is my favorite season, and I’m always sad to see it go. I am NOT a fan of winter. Brrrrr!
As for the week ahead:
If we were sipping tea, basking in the sun and talking I would tell you: it will be a quiet one for me. I am still recuperating, and not rushing into anything. But I’m so happy to be feeling human again!! Until next week…

Good morning, everyone!!
First and foremost, thank you to everyone who has helped make this blog successful. I can’t imagine what it would be like without the many friendships I have made (and more to come) these past four years. I never dreamed it would be this cool 🙂
When I started this blog, I was actually reporting on current events, until I decided it was time to release some of my poetry. Scared doesn’t even begin to describe how I felt. But the WordPress community welcomed me with open arms. It is truly an amazing feeling! Because of your support, I was able to publish nine poetry books, with number 10 coming shortly. I couldn’t have done it without you.
So, here’s to you, my friends, and to many years ahead. Once again, I thank you, from the bottom of my heart ❤

Good evening (or morning if you’re on the other side of the pond) 🙂
I wanted to take a brief moment of your time to say thank you. My life has been a bit chaotic lately, and I don’t always get a chance to comment on your blogs as much as I would like. For that, I apologize but I know you all understand.
Yesterday was the third anniversary of the day I began my blog. 2013 was a whirlwind year for me, with many changes. I took a chance and completely changed my career, to do what I’ve always loved best…write. I didn’t know what to expect. I didn’t know if I would be accepted. Honestly, I was scared to death. This is where you all come in. I have been blessed with the most amazing people I could ever find, many of you becoming dear friends over these past years.
So I say to all of you, I am extremely blessed to be part of this wonderful community. I look forward to many years ahead with you, laughing, crying and doing what we love best, supporting each other in whatever endeavors we strive for.
Thank you so very much, from the bottom of my heart, for making me feel like I am home 🙂
❤
