I stumbled upon you

Huddled, under the

Fragrant air of autumn

Chilled, from the frost

Of November’s morn

Beauty, frozen in time

You called to me

Soft, sweet melodies

Of voices intertwined

A chorus, in harmony

With the earth below

And the sky above

A lullaby, singing,

Of winter’s approach

It is time that I
wrap myself in
silken threads
and slumber, not
for eternity, but
for a moment, until
I am no longer
an ugly creature
but one of beauty and grace
And I can spread my wings
and fly

Falling Leaves

Rooted deep within the earth

Autumn shows her sweet rebirth

Dancing colors in the air

Falling gently without care

She changes for us all to see

How beautiful she can really be

Leaves of red and gold and yellow

Sing to us a song so mellow

Finding peace and tranquility

Among the fallings from the tree

Beauty shines, unhidden, bright

Opalescent ribbons light

Wings of white against the blue

Colors ever changing hue

Reflecting of the moon at night

Ethereal grace on an evening flight

I sat upon the mountain top
Gazing down on the earth below
Basking in all the wonders of life
With the sun in the sky, aglow

A gentle breeze blew slowly past
Like the flutter of a butterfly’s wings
Turning my face toward its gentle caress
I could hear the woodlands sing

Their song, the sound of angel harps
Each chord, a gossamer string
Melodies fly on the wisp of a cloud
With the beauty of all God’s things
