Rumbling thunder
Frightening, Brooding
Agonizing noise
Invasive, Intruding
Unwanted thoughts
Harrowing, Daunting
Suffocating din
Nagging, Haunting
Lingering commotion
Shouting, Roaring,
Insanity storming
A Lost Soul’s imploring

Glowing in its light
Guiding us through darkened skies
Shining ever bright

It is quite surreal
Just how you feel
Drifting off to sleep
Catching yourself
Floating away
Into a slumber deep
Beginning to dream
Drowning out noise
Into much quieter spaces
Lifting you there
On gossamer wings
To very faraway places
Sailing along with
The moon and the stars
Deflecting the time that goes by
Wandering freely
Where no one can see thee
Lost in the blackening sky

Tell me a story
Of love that is true
Of pleasure and pain
Passion regained
A tale of tomorrows
Awakening new
Visions of days
Blending together
Willingly fain
Tell me a story
Of nights meant to be
Of devotion and madness
Happiness, sadness
A tale of tomorrows
Whispering free
Visions of nights
Blending together
Enraptured fantasy
