Daydreaming, caressing my mind

with thoughts of you, your

lips against mine, the smell of

your skin, the heat smoldering

between us, til there is nothing left

but the memories, as you depart

and I wait, for you to return to me

With the light of God

Through His love, from the heavens

The sun will shine on

Where snow is falling

Icy, on the coldest night

A candle’s glow warms

Beneath the brilliant, cloudless blue

The starling sings a song or two

A joyful chorus, across the sky

His melody, for passers by

A tune he chirps, without a care

Yet, one that makes you stop and stare

For his feathers are rich, in colors bright

A charming bird, in daytime light

Such a beautiful sight, for all to see

Sweet wonder of nature, implicitly

Beautiful photo of a starling taken by Lee of Derwent Valley Photography.  Used with permission.  Thank you, Lee!

gondolier-2018052_960_720
I sail upon this wooden craft

Toward places yet unknown

A gondolier, upon a raft

Into the light that shone

Luminous, it beckons me

Yet the darker side is near

I know not what I really see

My vision not quite clear

What does cast its shadow

On the waters, in my boat

Will it guide me, whilst I row

Or will the moon, and I, just float
