Tiny bubbles play

On the shore, tickling the sand

Awaiting the tide

2nd in the “Saturday Stars” photography series on my blog.

I will be taking weekends off from sharing poetry until further notice, so I decided to share some of my favorite photos.  I hope you enjoy them.  Of course, I’ll still be doing my #DailyHaikuChallenge.  🙂

We Can All Feel Love ~ #freeverse #nohate #poetry

I imagine my life would be quite different

Had I not been brought up to know this;

There is no difference between

You and me, we were made from one God

To love each other, set aside differences

To tolerate opinions, and gracefully bow out

Of a conversation that does nothing

But promote hate, to joyfully accept

That we can, indeed, get along, no matter

The conflicts we face, we shall face them

Together, as only we can, with the human spirit

Respect for one another, honesty and friendship

So we may never again fear

Walking out our own front door

Evening, sunlight fades

Through stalks of gold, and we watch

Slowly growing old

Friday Fantasy ~ Malevolence – #poetry

She was cast aside, a child, disgraced

No longer wanted in this place

She swore revenge, they knew not where

She would return, to find them there

Cowering still, in the blackened night

With only the glow from the candlelight

She followed it back, to the place she had left

Finding them sorrowful, sobbing, bereft

Why did they do that? How could they stay?

Surely she’d see them again, one day

Still, she felt no pity for those who had scorned

Malevolence, she had once forewarned
