Your gentle voice, a glancing stroke
The way you listened, when I spoke
Eyes that glistened with the light
Passionate kisses in the night
You held me close, and felt the strain
No matter how I tried, to hide the pain
I knew you’d never set me free
It was exactly where I needed to be
Held here, in your loving arms
Keeping me safe, away from harm

I saw the strangest pair of eyes
And then I saw another two
I didn’t know what I should do
And while I was quite flabbergasted
The horror, thank goodness, hadn’t lasted
When I realized what they were
Two ostriches, I can concur
