In this season of thankfulness, I want to wish all my American friends a very Happy Thanksgiving, and to those of you on the other side of the pond, a joyous day!!
I give thanks every day for all of you, my friends, for being here for me, through my ups and downs, my self doubt and rediscovery. There aren’t enough thank you’s in the world to tell you how I really feel. Just know that I am forever grateful and blessed to know each one of you.

The holiday season is here
Everyone’s filled with good cheer
But I have this cold, or so I’ve been told
Maybe you shouldn’t come near
People are shopping like crazy
I shop online, ‘cause I’m lazy
But the doctor affirms, I picked up some germs
Now everything seems a bit hazy
I wonder how that can be
Is this why I’m feeling crappy?
A box full of tissues, oh, so many issues!
Please pour me another cup of tea
I whistle when I breathe, I’m wheezing
And in between that, I keep sneezing
My nose is on fire, all I do is perspire
How can that be if I’m freezing?
Tylenol, Advil, Aleve
With these three things, I believe
I can chase this away, at least for today
Perhaps, just a little reprieve
I’m starting to feel some relief
This cold took my spirit, what a thief!
I hope it’s not longer, til I feel much stronger
Until then, I’ll just lie here, (good grief)
