Dry, like a desert’s swirling sand
Blowing across the cracking land

Masked behind the grains, a curtain
Of words, no longer am I certain

Finding no inner deep reward
I rattle, like a dried out gourd

Slipping into imagery
People only I can see

Lost among the dunes piled high
Reflecting on a life gone by

Forever, I wander, to find my way
Visions, thoughts, begin to fray

Into ragged pieces left behind
Cords that can no longer bind

Search again to find the verse
That rids me of this author’s curse

An Angel Glows

angel moon 112115
Upon the beings of this world

Celestial beauty, now unfurled

A halo in the darkened night

An angel glows with purest light

Her warmth from Heaven, up above

Reminding us to spread our love

Shining in her ethereal glow

Her everlasting light bestowed

This was the moon behind clouds on Saturday night….I looked up and saw, what I thought, was an angel, coming through the clouds.  It was so beautiful I had to share.

Cold is the night

Crystalline breaths

In a stormless sky

Still, in the dark

I breathe the silence

Calm, harmonious quiet

Tranquil, nourishing my soul

The sounds of peace
