The pathway is lighted to welcome you in

The holidays are here, let the party begin

Family all gathered around the Christmas tree

Mom and Dad caroling, with Ole Auntie Dee

Spirits are flowing, with happiness and cheer

As we celebrate love, with the ones we hold dear

People walk by me, day after day

Scowls on their faces, as they look my way

Night after night, braving the cold

Wondering if I, will ever grow old

Here, on the streets, I am, all alone

But this is the place, I get to call home

Hoping that one day, I may really embrace

Once again feeling human, in this lousy rat race.

Through the coldest winter days

Feathered creatures smile

No matter how cold

Your love will always warm, as

I melt in your arms
