The colors of time

Know no boundary, ever

Etched in solid rock

A Minor Addiction ~ #RomanticTuesday #poetry #freeverse

A minor addiction

One that heightens the nerves

And stimulates the body

Palpitations of the heart

In maximum overdrive

Until you can’t breathe

And you’re gasping for air

A minor addiction

Mirrored only by another

With the same wants

And the same needs

A lust for the fast lane

While driving in the slow

Riding through the highs

Never letting go

A minor addiction

You and me

Author’s Note: It’s National Lighthouse Day   🙂

Her beacon of light

Shines in the darkness, guiding

A welcome respite

Follow her through lush forest greens

The likes of which you’ve never seen

Let your imagination run endlessly wild

Leaving your senses mesmerized, beguiled

Wide-eyed wonders, hidden deep in this place

Breathe in, Mother Nature, allow her embrace

For she holds the key, of bliss, serenity

Emblazoned with beauty, her grandest marquee
