For Neil 😉
The trail ahead, it looks so long
My legs aren’t really very strong
Perhaps, this plan might be wrong
But I will try it, come what may
I walk past the lush green trees
Bushes, higher than my knees
Pollen in the air, I sneeze!
Hope this doesn’t happen all day
Should have worn better shoes
My feet, about to blow a fuse
Ugh! High heels, why did I choose?
As my body starts to sway
Leaning to the left, then right
I must be an awful sight
This idea, it wasn’t bright
At home, I really should stay
But I gave it a whirl, ha, for fun
Now I’m glad, at last, it’s done
I see I’m not the only one
Who also feels this way!
Can you believe NaPoWriMo is over?? 30 poems in 30 days. Congrats to all who made it through! ❤

Well done, Dorinda. I loved your description of the woman pushing on despite all odds. I sometimes feel like this too.
