Can you believe it’s the last day of #NaPoWriMo?? National Poetry Month doesn’t last long enough! Thanks for visiting and reading my poem-a-day. It feels really good to be writing again. ❤
How can tomorrow
Already be May?
I’ve not left this branch
Not even to play
Surely, time
Has escaped me
I guess I’ll just stay
Atop this tree
Where the cool breeze blows
And no one can see me
Not even my toes
Hidden
Secluded
Where the green flora grows
Ah, this is the life
Yes, my Holy Grail
From limb to limb
I’ll happily sail
But always return
To my favorite place
Happy to be home
In my own little space.

Ever since we got dogs, my furry friends don’t come around anymore. Makes me sad.
