I’ve traveled a long road
To reach my favorite place
I stopped to rest a moment
Found myself on Moon’s face
He didn’t seem quite happy
After all, I dimmed his light
I promised him, “Don’t worry!”
“I’ll soon be tucked in, tight!”
But first I have to cross the bridge
And make sure I don’t fall through
Taking baby steps, and carefully
Is what I’ll need to do
I can see my teddy bear
Waiting patiently for me
Atop my pillow, on my bed
Tis where I want to be
So we can snuggle closely
Perhaps, to dream of Mars
Where imagination can run free
Fast asleep, beneath the stars
