Colleen’s poetry challenge for this week is synonyms only! Her two words are Give and Shake. Check out Colleen’s blog to find which forms of poetry are acceptable for this challenge. Have fun!
Written as a Tanka, my synonyms are Abandoning and Shudder.
I shudder in the cold air,
Abandoning warmth.
Much like dear autumn’s last leaf,
Who dares to cling too tightly.

Lovely Tanka, Dorinda! I love the picture too. Sometimes people are like that little half-frozen leaf, hanging on for dear life when they should just move on. 😉
