A
Bugler
Sadly blows
Musical strains
Of magic through brass
Plays a soldier’s lament
For those who battled for us
Triumphant, though many were not
He honors those who never came home
True heroes, on foreign soils, laid to rest

wow, years ago i did Taps for the veterans while in grade school/high school, i lived across from the cemetary. It was a privilege. I am not sure they ever knew i was out there so young doing that , i often wonder if back home someone still does this

Beautiful Dorinda. The Soldier’s Lament makes me cry each time I hear it played.
