Wings that circle about, always in constant flutter
These tiny avian creatures, are unlike any other
Long beaks, to suck nectar, from feeders, up high
No problem for them, as they soar through the sky
Small bodies, with amazing colors, so very bright
That dance, as they shine, off the reflecting light
A hummingbird is not one to mind, should you stare
In fact, you can’t help it, with the beauty they share

used to see them more, and nearly got attacked by one before too, guess it happens when they home in on where they got one of those feeders before

They’re so little, sometimes they’re easy to miss, but yes, the population has seemed to decrease 😦
