Setting fire to the midnight sky
She takes off, upon her broom
Halloween, the witch’s right
Tis the hour of certain doom
She leaves her black cat, safe at home
As she flies about, through the clouds
He mews his loudest, atop the dome
She repeats to him, he’s not allowed
This is her night, to release her wrath
Probably better if you stay home, too
For the broom of doom, in its aftermath
Makes you, the main course, for her stew

I know, on the 31st. Went trick or treating with my daughter while we lived in the US… maaaaany years back… lol. And as long as the kids were smaller we even did it in a humble way over here too.

I always forget you lived in the states!! Some towns in NJ have banned the older kids from Trick or Treating. I think that stinks. Why can’t they be kids?

No, really? Why? Did some behave badly and so they banned all of them? Stupid!

I really don’t know why. I’m going to guess it has something to do with lazy parents who won’t go out with their kids, and don’t like the bigger kids being out, too. I guess they’d rather see them get into trouble, or drugs, or alcohol. Ugh, Don’t get me started. Very stupid!
