In a worn out gown, she holds back her tears
Simply wasting her life, in her final years
Sacrifices, she’s made, senseless, inane
Left her with nothing, but agony and pain
She weeps in silence, for all she has lost
A home left in shreds, her own holocaust
Tortured, by her own desperate needs
Nearing her death, she quietly pleads
A prayer for solace, comfort for her heart
On the wings of an angel, she peacefully departs

I haven’t had a chance to read them yet. I think you might see some more throughout the month. Prompts can go either way!
