Can’t figure out how to read this
Perhaps it is hieroglyphics
A bunch of designs, fill the page
There’s nothing more specific
Should I sit here, on my behind
Wondering how the cavemen did it
Or make my way into the city
For the local museum’s exhibit?
Yes, I shall go down to the place
Where the writing’s on the wall
Stop, and ask the curator there
What it’s all about, this scrawl
But instead of helping me out
He shows me to a room, quite small
It’s where, he says, they secretly hide
The writer, named Nean Derthal

😆 I really like your take on this particular prompt.
I’m still trying to decide what direction to take it in. 😉 We’ll see.

Dorinda, thanks to genetic research,
we now know that Nean Derthal
is alive and well.
And still living among us.
