Her photograph, faded, sepia tones
A rose, shriveled, now brittle and dry
Memories of her many loving ways
Made it harder to say goodbye
Time goes by much too quickly
In a blink of an eye, she was gone
Always the blossom, in my garden of life
Now the flowers are wilted and drawn
To have her plant just one more seed
I’d give anything, to let her know
That she is the reason I am me
From her love I’ve continued to grow
In loving memory of my grandmother, Nana Rose (June 1973) I love you and miss you more each day. ❤
