I’ll never understand it
Why men think it’s profound
To stuff their mouths with tobacco
Then spit it out, onto the ground
They chew away on a substance
Tucked neatly in their cheek
I don’t think I could kiss them
Their chances, are rather bleak
Why can’t they find a habit
That the ladies like as well
Like chewing bubble gum instead
I’d find that rather swell
So guys, please forget the chew
It’s so uncouth, and unrefined
Replace it with something minty
This, we’ll surely never mind

Dorinda, you should go to a
South Pacific paradise, where
the locals chew the betel nut.
The sidewalks of Port Morsby
are stained bright red from the
spittle. I must admit, I was
tempted to have a chew, but
the sight of red stained teeth
dissuaded me.
