On the wings of the breeze
As it blows through your hair
And the leaves on the trees
Watch the flowers awaken
From their long winter nap
Stretching toward sunlight
As they wait to unwrap
The colors of springtime
That brighten our hearts
With new life emerging
Now winter departs
There’s a message that lingers
With the scents in the air
Yes!! Spring is returning!!
And winter’s going, elsewhere

Reading this after working in the garden for two hours and now sitting on my patio in the warm sun, hearing the birds everywhere and smelling the unfolding nature…. heaven!!!

Sun is shining here! Right now it’s 49F, still a bit brisk for spring
