Oh, how I long, for leaves of jade
To take the gray, away from me
And paint the colors, splendid, free
Which quietly wait, a resurrection
Blending, a palette of perfection
With beauty rising, innocent of
The gloominess that you so love
Let me close my eyes, and see
How beautiful all things can be
Alas, you do not hear my cry
As I gaze into your barren sky

Sorry about that, what autocorrect doesn’t screw up, thumb typing on my phone with poor eyesight does.

Dorinda, I have been enjoying your poems. They are so musical in rhyme and rhythm. And your content doesn’t seem forced in order to lend the proper effect.

Thank you, Oneta. I don’t force anything. Whatever happens to flow is what you see. I appreciate you noticing that. It means a lot to me 🙂

Damn, you make me long for it and it’s still kinda warm here. 70s again next week. Nice one, Doriinda. Very wistful.
