She reaches in the night
Unafraid to feel the burn
Stretching toward the light
Naked in the city street
She is standing in the storm
Of sparks beginning to gather
Like bees about to swarm
She feels the power flowing
Ever closer, ever bright
One quick touch is all it takes
To free her from her plight

Sparks like bees about to swarm! Beautiful imagery, honey. (Get it – bees make honey? — Lol). 🙂

Sometimes I get scared of the dark, and I reach for my night light. Your poem held that glimmer of light we all strive to reach.
