Promises spoken in the dark
Words from lips lie cold and stark
Forgotten, as quickly as they’re said
Breathless, still, as we lie in bed
Turned away, no longer embraced
Satin nights that cannot be replaced
With a fire, once burning inside the heart
Slowly extinguished, as we grow apart

Good one Dorinda! Sad that I can relate to it though – I suppose life and love never stay still – always moving and, if not together then the spark is extinguished naturally …

Sometimes I believe we become a better person, odd as that sounds, but it teaches us compassion for others. Does that make sense?

Every experience has something to offer us I believe – no matter how difficult /sad it is physically – otherwise, it wouldn’t happen!
