Dearest WordPress,
I must confess
Lately, you’re playing with fire
The reader, you see
Has lost harmony
Line breaks is what we desire
Words jumbled together
It’s hard to tell whether
The verses are supposed to be mixing
Since I pay for my site
Hoping you’ll see the light
What ain’t broke, doesn’t need fixing
Better listen today
To what I have to say
Trust me, I’m not being coy
Take your Beep Beep Boop
And retire this goop
It’s obvious these changes annoy

Hilarious and it hits the mark dead on. I have a free blog, but that doesn’t cut down on the annoyance. Thanks for this poem. 😀

No, not just you! It’s a horrible change, especially for poets!! Thank for reblogging to your readers.

You’re very welcome!! Horrible indeed … always trying to fix what isn’t broken.

You are our voice of reason – mine is a bit to harsh I fear.

It never hurts to express your true feelings. Maybe harsh, is too harsh, then again, maybe it’s exactly what they need.

They’re be unwise to ignore the feedback Dorinda – yours is one post of many I’ve read (I liked the fact it was in a poem format) 👍😃😎

Thanks, Chris. I would love to know who comes up with these brilliant ideas…and then fire them 🙂 Happy Sunday!!

To be fair they are trying to improve things for us, but unfortunately they don’t always succeed in their efforts Dorinda.
I’d never fire the people who come up with the ideas – I’d target the Senior Manager(s) who insist on ignoring the feedback in the hope that folks will eventually get used to and live with the unpopular changes…

I was being a bit sarcastic. However, people need to understand that the majority of us complaining are the ones who actually pay for their sites. We have a right to know about upcoming changes and not just have them thrown at us. As for ignoring feedback, they’re doing an excellent job of it. Sad, really.

I have written to Word Press and they said they were going to take another look at this change of format. I hope so. Very frustrating. I hope all who feel the same contact them about this.

I hope they mean what they say and actually do look into it. They keep asking why I switch back to the old stats page. Not sure how many times I have to tell them the same thing. Frustrating, indeed!!

I think we’re all a bit fed up about changes that are just dropped on us. This last one is the worst!!

Too true, the preview for poems is just appalling…sentence structure looks sloppy especially for micro-poets
