From Sunset……

supermoon815Saturday night’s sunset was spectacular.  My husband and I watched as the sun set behind the mountains by our home.  The Supermoon was just as spectacular, shining in our front yard, in the night sky..  Enjoy these Heavenly bodies ❤

We are one with the night

Lazing under the heavens

Drawing lines in the air

Connecting stars

Gazing at the beauty

Of God’s lighted sky

Ablaze upon an ebony dome

Scintillating celestial silence

solar beauty
She shines with a brilliance

Even night cannot tame

Solar Beauty

The light of the sky

As darkening clouds cover

You can still see her flame

Solar Beauty

In the heaven’s up high

And her radiance fills the last of day

Allowing evening to stake his claim

With a defining whisper she bids us adieu

Solar Beauty

In a breathless sigh

The Last of the Light

It is only night
When sunset illumins
The last of the light

Clouds turn to dark
In ebony skies
Casting their shadows
In night’s overt guise
Winds gather softly
Heaving their sighs
Whisked away in a breeze
Back again in reprise

A sweet melody
On the eve, this is night
When sunset illumins
The last of the light

And she sits quietly in the distance

As she paints the skies

A palette of reds and yellows

Against the blue ocean waters

Gently rippling below her

And she glows ever so brightly

Before tucking herself in

For the night
