In a quandary

Is not where I want to be

Alas, I am there

 

Authors Note:  I usually take time off during the summer months, and these  particular posts (the 10PM slot), drew the short straw.  But they’ll return in September, after Labor Day. Hopefully, I’ll be able to grab a prompt here and there, as I do enjoy the words given and I appreciate the time each blogger puts into choosing the words.  🙂

Summer Weekends

It’s that time of year again, Summer!!  I’ll be taking weekends off, starting today, through Labor Day Weekend.  It gives me time to refuel and spend some much needed down time with the hubby!  I hope you’ll still come to visit, even though I won’t be home.. but the door is always open at Night Owl Poetry. 🙂

Walking along the shore
Hot sand under my feet
Cool water rushing over my toes
As I playfully kick it into the air
Spraying my lips with
The taste of the Atlantic
Looking skyward as the
Bright sun warms my face
Summertime…
