The weatherman says we’re in for a major snow event…start your engines. You know you have to get to the grocery store for the most important three items on the list…milk, eggs & bread aka French Toast. What is it about snow that makes everyone crave this irresistibly delicious breakfast food?
Of course I’m kidding. But I really do want to know why people panic when a weather event is announced. It’s weather, it happens every day. And it’s not like we haven’t been through it before. The media hype is just that, hype. Unless you’re a transplant from Hawaii, most Northerners know how to handle the snow. You may even get a day off from work or school.
Look at it this way, it’s Winter. It’s going to snow. It’s going to sleet. Put on your Winter coat, go outside, build a snowman, have a snowball fight, flop in the snow and make a snow angel. Be a kid again. Then wait for the roads to clear, the deliveries made and then go buy your milk, eggs & bread. Make your French Toast and be sure to invite me over. I’ll bring the syrup. 😉
