Drawing new life, from the universe
I remove the madness, end the curse

Shine, in my own spiritual light
Earth below me, a glorious sight

Sends up fire, to brighten the dark
In my soul, ever creating, a spark

A flare in the sky, exploding with power
This is my one, though not, final hour

To make good, for all I have sinned
My life, total chaos, the perfect whirlwind

Now calms, with the stars, sparkling bright
Transcending my thoughts, deep into night

Awakened refreshed, the burden, now lifted
My reminder that God, this life, He has gifted

To me, and only me, to discover my worth
Before my life ends, tis my living rebirth

question-mark-358177_960_720I do not understand
Why time passes by
Yet stands still

Why a moment can be fleeting
Yet we are caught in it

Why we hate to love
Yet love to hate

Is it that we are
Afraid of feeling the heartache
Of time gone by
But unafraid of causing the heartbreak
Without a moment’s loss

Afraid of defining our own worth
Within ourselves
But unafraid to define others inadequacies
As they stand before us

How can you say you are living a life
For the moments, the time
The love and the hate
The heartache and the heartbreak
Yet claim to have no life worth living
I do not understand
