A flicker of light is the morning sun
Along the trails of nature run

Verdant colors upon the stone
Lavish, in the place they’ve grown

Enveloped by the mighty trees
That bow and sway, against the breeze

Harbored in the light of love
Quietly nurtured, from Heaven above

I want to lie in scented fields

With blue skies, overhead

Breathe in nature’s nectar

Forget about today, instead

I’ll laze among the color

Of vibrant poppy red

Close my eyes, and daydream

Upon my floral bed

Ebony night has slowly passed

The light of day breaks free, at last

And casts away the shadows gloom

Awakening lilac’s gentle bloom

Fragrance scents the floral buds

Opening quietly in a flood

Of purple beauty below the skies

Heaven’s manna before our eyes
