The smell of freshly cut grass
People hawking hot dogs
steaming in a basket
Cotton candy in pink & blue
Ice cold beer to ease the heat
as the sun blazes down

He stands at the plate
waiting for the perfect moment
as the pitch comes in
and the bat connects
sending the small round object
sailing through the skies
over the fences

The roar of the crowd
sends your adrenaline soaring
along with the ball
As the next batter approaches
and the rush begins again
