Strands of hair, that cloak her face
Hide her shame, and life’s disgrace
A woman lost, too many others
All they do, is hold and smother
Her heart, into pieces, now shattered
Thrown away, broken, battered
Left to find, a place to survive
Somewhere, she can stay alive
Away from the streets, and johns who claw
She cannot take this, anymore
Tossed aside, like a bag of trash
Favors returned, for want of cash
They do not care, for what she’d be
This woman, in search, of humanity
