Dreary dawn
Chilled, raw
When gray clouds
Cover blue skies
And diminish the light
That warms
Restless winds
Blow to a rhythm
A howl
Unheard, a whisper
Past your ears
Leaves fall
Spiraling down
A silent death
In colors splendid
Orange, red and yellow
Mask the dull
Of a colorless day
