Just a quick note, to my friends, far and near
Please don’t think I ignore those I hold dear
Your comments always mean to the world to me
I try to reply back, as long as I can see
The black of your text, saying hi or whatever
But WordPress, again, is squashing my endeavor
I have found you scattered, in the spam, on my blog
Good thing I keep checking, that silly ole log
So forgive me, for taking so long to respond
I’ve finally saved you from drowning, in the WP pond

This almost caused major problems for Brian and I at one point. He was approving all of his other comments from everyone else and not approving any of mine. When I asked him what was going on and why he wasn’t approving any of my comments, he checked his spam folder and sure enough, there were about 40 of my comments in there. I’m not usually the jealous type, but honestly, I was beginning to wonder. Lol… 😉

I had somewhere around 95 comments in my spam. Most of the comments, from a sweet blogger who has been reblogging my poems, were in there. This is really upsetting. I would hate to think she thought i didn’t appreciate her 😦

Well, it does leave a person to wonder if they’re just being ignored. There are many times my comments go unapproved by various people and so you just never know. But I’m sure if you tell her what happened she will understand. It’s just miserable when it happens to a regular follower.

[ Smiles ] Akismet tends to trap a lot of innocent and genuine comments in its spam filter.
It is a good thing that you check your spam once in a while.

The problem is the trap too many of the innocent ones!! 🙂

I know, too often. Same poor soul was in my spam over and over because she reblogs me. I don’t get it 😦

Oh, that’s even more unfair. They are so nice and end up in the Spam folder. Due to the growing flood of real spam I am not too motivated to spend time on it. Thank God, lately not a lot of serious comments were in there.

Some day we will live in a spam free world, and all comments will be delivered to their proper recipients LOL
