Oh Erika, there is nothing happy about Memorial Day 😦 Unless we choose to celebrate the lives of the men and women who have died, then yes, a reason to be happy ❤

Oh no…it a day of remembrance. Sadly, most people look at it as a reason for a BBQ. 😦

I think it can be seen both sides. Isn’t it meant to remember those lovingly and in honor which also means let them “live high” again? Of course the reason they died is sad, most tragic, and unnecessary and they will always be missed but I don’t think their engagement for their country can be remembered in the way they deserve it when a whole nation falls in collective depression. Just my thinking…💖

Sadly, many Americans find this a reason for drinking and BBQing, etc, without any thought as to why they’re off for the day. It works both ways but mostly it is a somber “holiday”
