Unafraid to face the war
Of humans battling one another
Bullets flying, run for cover
Terror plagues this hallowed land
Acts of violence, carefully planned
For what? I have to wonder why.
How many tears must we all cry?
How many others have to die?
Until this carnage, at last does cease
And once again, we can live in peace
Remembering those in Orlando, and around the world, who have fallen to these senseless acts of violence.

Such a powerful poem Dorinda!!! What happened in Orlando is truly saddening.. And shameful! It’s a scary world today… I’m not sure I want to have children for I’m afraid of what they will have to face!!!
I’ve been wanting to write something for the victims but there are so many of you who have so beautifully put down in words what I struggle to even conceive!! I’d much rather express my sorrow over these beautiful posts…

Thank you, Aishwarya….You can express your grief any way you wish. Sometimes writing down the simplest words can make a difference, even if you only share them with yourself xoxo
