Even though my eyes are closed
I can see you lying next to me
Wasting away, lost in the night
I was too blind, I didn’t see
Pictures in my mind surface
Younger days without a care
Nothing could come between us
Oh, how I wish we were still there
A love that seemed so right
Called to us, the perfect pair
But that isn’t really how life goes
We had nothing left to share
The obvious, it always cursed us
Battles fought, each on a dare
Hatred gleamed in its subtle light
Reality blurred, in morning’s glare

Unafraid of the darkness this Night Owl thrives in the stillness of the silent hours, toughing and sensitively honest. Do not be troubled by the glare of the morning, your ability to express sensitive emotion reveals tremendous inner strength.

I get the impression there was anger and disappointment as well. Relationships change, causing us hurt and pain. Hope you are ok, you’ve already dealt with so much, Dorinda. ❤

Thank you, Susi. I am doing ok. My emotions come out in different ways, as we all know. There wasn’t one specific here, rather an accumulation of life in general. ❤

Your words speak to the depths of loss, unexpected. Sorrowful.
