Beautiful Haiku! I am not well-versed in Haiku poetry criticism but as an amateur Haiku learner, I find this piece to be beautifully written. I love your imagery, and I love the strong feeling of the warmth of romantic love this short piece conveyed. I wish I could write a better commentary on this piece, as that is what this poem deserves. Keep up the good work!

Exquisite poem Dorinda. I miss snow living in Arkansas, but not the long cold winter. I guess we’re all trying to capture sand. 🙂

Thank you, Brad! I’d like to miss the long cold winter. I suppose living in NJ, I don’t have that choice! I’ll take sand over snow any day!

At least you have access to sand and beaches in the summer. I miss that living in Arkansas.

True. A mere 60 minute ride and I’m there. You’ll just have to move closer to the shore!

I only like the first snow. After that, it’s too cold for my liking.

I feel like that about the heat we get here, Dorinda. When it reaches over 30 degrees Celsius, it is to hot for me.

I sympathize! I’m not a big heat person either. I like autumn. Perfect for me. 🙂

Thank you, Neha! How much snow do you have? We got several inches, but it’s melting. It can keep doing that as far as I’m concerned. LOL

We got about 14 inches from the storm last week…but it is almost melted now…had sunny days all week so far but might snow again tomorrow…in Denver it doesn’t stick for too long cause the sun is usually out the next day 🤞 besides I will take a short winter any day haha
