As day breaks, her spirit breathes
Patiently awaiting, the falling leaves
Orange, yellow, and russet red
Each tree will shed its leafy head
Decorate the ground, in perfect hue
Colors, delightful, in a vision true
Landscapes change, an added breeze
Stripping the forest’s brilliant trees
Until at last, they stand naked, bare
The spirit of autumn, now lays there
