It was November, and the chill in the air was not from the cold…
Night fell across the snow covered mountains, but something felt strangely different, something was amiss. The orb, which had been glowing so brightly the night before, was no longer glowing at all. It was seemingly a dead rock, just floating in space. Its light had been extinguished, making the Earth much colder than ever before. Even the stars lost their twinkle. The world suddenly turned to black and white.
Not far in the distance, a diabolical laugh, sent shock waves through the mountains…
He had returned.

Nice touch at the end, to add a dark mystery. Do you ever think that long before the stars burn out we shall not see them? There is a mystery of science with poetry 🙂 🙂

I believe the stars are our loved ones shining down on us. Will they burn out? No. they’re our guiding light to Heaven. They will always shine. 🙂
