She has the loudest roar, than any child I’ve heard
Forget trying to talk to her, she’ll never hear a word
This child, knows how to get her way, she screams
She’s the one, appearing, in nightmarish dreams
Stamping feet and pouting face, until you cave
Once in a while, I really wish, she’d just behave!
Good thing they make plugs, to stick in my ears
Otherwise, along with her, I too, would be in tears
I sigh, and then I calm her, wipe the hurt away
Praying to the Lord above, help her stay this way
But I know it’s not over, there are more heading fast
Oh, how I hate the tweens, and hope they leave real fast
As a mom, I know I must endure, the good along with the bad
I wouldn’t trade it for anything, it’s the best job I’ve ever had!
Dedicated to all the mom’s who have those 12-14 year olds, still finding their footing. 🙂
